IS&T RCS Tutorial - ArcGIS Online: Map Viewer
The Map Viewer is an application on ArcGIS Online that allows one to create web maps. This includes importing GIS data, applying symbology, editing pop-ups, and some basic spatial analysis. The web maps that are created can then be imported into other ArcGIS Online applications, such as Dashboards and StoryMaps. In this tutorial we will focus on the Map Viewer Classic application. We will go over the structure of the user interface, explore the tools available within this application, and create a basic web map.No software installation is required; just an internet connection and an internet browser. You will need an ArcGIS Online account. If you do not already have one, please fill out this Google Form at https://forms.gle/QNRDNSDjnTqKjcP49 to request one. If you are taking several ArcGIS tutorials, you only need to fill out this form once.Prerequisite: ArcGIS Online: Using the Web Portal
