Climate Resilient Cities: An Earth Day Discussion Of Sea-Level Rise
Sea-level rise due to climate change is inevitable. How we protect ourselves, especially in coastal cities, depends largely on how urgently we respond. In celebration of a hopeful tomorrow, this Earth Day event from WBUR brings together policy experts, planners and thought leaders from across the country for a collaborative conversation about the future of coastal city life in America. Barbara Moran, senior producing editor, environment, moderates with representatives from Boston, San Francisco, and New Orleans to discuss each city’s climate action plan for sea-level rise. Panelists Angela Chalk - executive director, Healthy Community Services Rachel Cleetus - policy director, Union of Concerned Scientists Kristina Hill - associate professor of landscape architecture and environmental planning and urban design, UC Berkeley
