LGBTQ+ Know Your Rights Workshop
Join the Queer Activist Collective and BU Diversity in Law Association for an LGBTQ+ Know Your Rights Workshop with Cohen&Green to learn about your rights in the workplace and what to do if you experience discrimination. This event will be Q&A-style, so please submit any questions you would like answered in advance when you register! This event is free and open to the BU community. Closed captioning will be available. Please email bostonuq@gmail.com with any questions or concerns. Speaker info: Elena Cohen (she/her) is an attorney, Ph.D., and activist. Her legal practice includes criminal defense (primarily of those arrested for protest-related activities), creating and settling estates for people who die as a result of police or correctional officer misconduct, and civil rights litigation. J. Remy Green (they/them) specializes in civil rights, defamation, free speech, consumer rights, and voting rights litigation. Remy is also a guest lecturer and adjunct professor at the Boston University School of Law and various schools in the CUNY system, where they teach courses that address issues of civil and constitutional rights.
