CFA Community Check-In: The Love You Give

National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman inspired us all with her piece, “The Hill We Climb,” at President Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony. During a time of so much uncertainty, Gorman’s powerful words reminded us that art is not only a reflection of a snapshot in time, but a lens into the soul of our nation. Art not only brings people together, but it can unify a community to enact real change. Whether you’re performing in a concert, writing a script for a new play, or filling a blank canvas, your artmaking inspires all of those around you. How do you use your art to empower others? What can CFA do to help empower you to make and share more of your own art? Join us for a fruitful discussion during our next Community Check-In session.

Hosted by Ruthie Jean, Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Enrollment, the CFA Community Check-Ins are an opportunity for students to share their experiences and connect with the College. We are eager to hear what is on the minds—and hearts—of CFA students. All sessions will be held over Zoom. These check-in events are open to current CFA students only. Registration in advance is required.
