CinemAfriq Film Discussion

Join us for the 3rd film discussion in our CinemAfriq series this Spring semester! You are invited to watch the film on your own time (access information is provided below) and then join us for a fun and relaxed Zoom session to discuss and share your impressions of the film (contact asl@bu.edu to RSVP and receive the Zoom link). Ni Sisi. Directed by Nick Reding, Produced by Nick Reding, Krysteen Savane, Kamau Wa Ndung'u, S.A.F.E. (New Jersey: Juno Films, 2013) 1 hour 26 minutes. Based on a play that was commissioned after 2007 post-election violence in Kenya, Ni Sisi tells the story of a community torn apart when a would-be government official exploits tribal tensions to win votes.
