Why Should We Care about Low-Value Pediatric Care?
Most efforts to measure and reduce low-value health care have focused on adults. This presentation will address four questions. First, why should clinicians, families, and policymakers care about low-value pediatric care? Second, how common is low-value pediatric care? Third, why does low-value pediatric care occur? Fourth, what can we do about low-value pediatric care? Dr. Kao-Ping Chua, a primary care pediatrician, health policy researcher, and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Susan B. Meister Child Health Evaluation and Research Center at the University of Michigan Medical School joins IHSIP to discuss in this webinar.
