#BUcity Co-Lab Week: Visual Communication for Urban Professionals: The Why and How?

Join Boston University City Planning and Urban Affairs for Visual Communication for Urban Professionals: The Why and How?, the third event in the #BUcity Co-Lab Week. Presented by David Valecillos, Director of Design, North Shore Community Development Corporation. David is an award winning urban planner and real estate developer. a design thinker and data-driven problem solver. His main focus is on district level real estate planning and development. David is passionate about connecting buildings, people and public space. David’s work ranges from developing multi-million dollar multi-site projects and city wide housing market analyzes to planning the initial steps of an innovation district in Barranquilla, Colombia. As Director of Design, David is responsible for overseeing all urban planning projects for the organization including real estate projects. David is also one of the founders and the director of the Punto Urban Art Museum (2017), a social justice public art program in the Point Neighborhood. The museum features 85+ large scale murals and 75 international and local artists. David holds a Masters in City Planning from Boston University where he received the award for excellence in graduate studies. He also holds a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and a certificate in Business Administration. David currently serves in the Urban Land Institute Boston Chapter Real Estate Committee and Cambridge’s Public Art Commission. Zoom link will be emailed after registrants RSVP.
