BU URBAN: Integrating Statistics, Biogeoscience, and Environmental Health into Ph.D. Education -- Pamela Templer and Evan Kuras (BU URBAN)
The BU URBAN Program is a National Science Foundation Research Traineeship (NRT) Program that integrates Statistics, Biogeoscience, and Environmental Health. Participating Ph.D. students engage in interdisciplinary coursework, workshops on science communication and urban governance, and partnerships with governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. Our vision is to create a diverse workforce of scientists and practitioners equipped with the technical knowledge and communication skills necessary for building a sustainable, healthy, and equitable future. During this presentation, Program Director Pamela Templer will share how students and faculty can get involved in our interdisciplinary program.
