Give Me the Listening Ear: Conscious-Raising vs. Conscious-Acting
The Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground is proud to host the first in a series of panels addressing questions of justice, community, and racial reconciliation on Monday, September 28 at 6 pm.Moderated by Kenneth Elmore, Associate Provost and Dean of Students, “Conscious Raising vs. Conscious Acting” invites Drs. Ibram Kendi, Saida Grundy, Louis Chude-Sokei, and Paula Austin to dialogue about the state of equity and equality in the United States, and whether raising consciousness is enough to engender a truly just society.
