Thursdays beginning September 10th ~ 5:30 – 7:00pm Virtual Class via Zoom open to the BU Community Participants must complete this waiver in order to attend and receive the Zoom link. A free, all levels yoga class for the BU community hosted virtually by Marsh Chapel. This class introduces the basics of yoga, as well as offers opportunities to take the practice deeper for more experienced practitioners. Attention to alignment, active awareness of breath and strength-building postures are all key aspects of this class. Students will be guided to not only develop physical abilities, but also a powerful sense of self. Class is taught with attention to modifications. Yoga instruction time is one hour. Class will begin at 5:45pm. Optional 15-minute time to chat and connect will be offered at the end of every class. Class taught by Amy Aubrecht, STH ’16, and instructor of this program during the 2016-2017 academic year. A yoga practitioner since 2010, Amy completed her 200-hour Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training in Portland, Oregon in 2015. In 2017, she completed an Adaptive Yoga Training with Mind Body Solutions in Minnesota. In addition to yoga, Amy rock climbs, cooks with produce from her CSA box, creates cards and lingers in nature.
