IS&T RCS Tutorial - MATLAB Parallel Computing Toolbox (PCT)

The MATLAB Parallel Computing Toolbox allows you to write programs that leverage parallelism by dividing up work between independent cores. It is possible to convert many serial MATLAB applications to parallel MATLAB applications with relatively few code modifications and no programming in a low-level language. This tutorial will introduce MATLAB parallel processing tools, such as parfor, spmd, and distributed array types. Participants interested in trying this hands-on will be able to try this on BU’s Shared Computing Cluster (SCC).Basic knowledge of MATLAB is assumed.
