CURA Colloquium: Dis/order, stigma, and recovery in a “Black” Muslim congregation
Based on ethnographic observation and interviews in a multicultural majority-African-descended Muslim congregation in Boston, I explore how people living with addiction or under psychiatric diagnoses negotiate compromised “identities” within community. *Reading the working paper in advance is required for attendance.* Email cura@bu.edu for your copy.
