BU Global Film Series (South Korea): The Host
The BU Global Film Series: Celebrating Global Diversity at BU project was conceived to provide a fun and informative platform for cross-cultural dialogue at BU. The screening will be facilitated by a BU expert with deep knowledge of the subject matter and country of the selected film. The Host (Korean: 괴물; RR: Gwoemul; lit. "Monster") is a 2006 South Korean monster film directed by Bong Joon-ho and starring Song Kang-ho, Byun Hee-bong, Park Hae-il, Bae Doona and Go Ah-sung. Only open to BU community. The format for the Global Film Series project is in 2 parts: 1) 5 films will be screened on 5 days from 5 different countries during International Education Week when BU celebrates all things global; and 2) Each screening will be facilitated by an expert - a BU faculty or staff member with deep knowledge of the subject matter and country of the selected film.
