Lawyers for Affordable Justice Nonprofit Law Firm Workshop
On Friday, May 6, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Boston College Law School’s Center for Experiential Learning will host a workshop on the legal and practical requirements for operating a nonprofit law firm that charges fees, and relies on fee-shifting, while serving low- and moderate-income clients. Our guest who will lead the workshop will be Shantelle Argyle of Open Legal Services in Salt Lake City, Utah, who is a national trailblazer on this topic.
The workshop will take place at Boston College Law School, 885 Centre Street, Newton Centre, MA 02459. Lunch will be served, and available at noon.
Please RSVP to Susie Shabanian at susie.shabanian@bc.edu by April 28, 2016.
BC Law is hosting this event in conjunction with Lawyers for Affordable Justice (LAJ), a collaboration among Boston College, Boston University, and Northeastern University law schools to establish an incubator for lawyers starting new practices dedicated to serving those clients who cannot afford conventional legal services.
