DIWAN Spanish dance performance with BMC's Arts Outreach Initiative
DIWAN, a dance performance piece by Moisès Fernández Via, is a pilot experience in creative collaboration between artists and BMC patients, where participants will join on stage with Via, on piano, and acclaimed Spanish flamenco dancer Auxi Fernández. The performance is a collaborative production of BMC’s Arts Outreach Initiative, CAS Romance Studies HISPANIC VOICES/VOCES HISPANICAS, and the College of Fine Arts. BMC’s Arts Outreach Initiative was conceived to support and honor the recovery of a selected group of patients from the Boston Medical Center’s Refugee Clinic, Cancer Center and department of Neurology.
