Webinar FAQs

How do I connect to a Zoom webinar?

The first step is to register for the webinar through the link on our 25th Anniversary web page. You will be sent a registration confirmation email, which will contain a link that you will use to join the webinar on September 30th at 3pm. You will also receive an email reminder with the link shortly before the webinar begins.

What is Zoom?

Zoom is a video conferencing platform. You will need to set up a free account and download Zoom to your device in order to join the webinar. The Zoom website is: www.zoom.us and you can click on the “Sign up, it’s free” button on the top right. You can also go to the app store (iPhone) or GooglePlay store (android) to download the free app onto your smartphone or tablet.

How can I join the webinar through Facebook Live?

You can access the Facebook Live livestream of the webinar by navigating to www.Facebook.com/TheBWHS. You do not need a Facebook account to view the livestream (you can click on “Not Now” at the bottom of the login/account creation screen if you do not have a Facebook account and do not wish to create one).

Should I choose Zoom or Facebook Live?

We are offering both because we want all who wish to attend to be able to do so. Either platform will allow you to view the webinar. Zoom has a limited capacity, so anyone who wants to join after the capacity is reached will be able to join on Facebook Live.

How do I submit questions for webinar panel ahead of time?

When you submit your Zoom registration you will have an opportunity to submit questions for the webinar. You can also submit questions by sending an email to bwhs@bu.edu; please use the subject line Question for BWHS Panel.

How do I submit questions during the webinar?

If you are connecting via Zoom, you can use the Q&A feature to submit questions. This will be demonstrated at the start of the webinar.

If you are connecting via Facebook Live, you can submit questions via the comments option for Facebook. We will be monitoring the Facebook page throughout the event, and will forward your question to the panel.
