Stephen Prothero: On Religious Literacy

Stephen Prothero, chair of the religion department at the College of Arts and Sciences, speaks about [...]his new book, the New York Times best seller Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know - and Doesn't. Prothero discusses the book's central paradox - that while the United States is one of the most religious countries in the world, Americans know relatively little about religion, which given the world's climate can be harmful for the nation.

Hosted by Barnes & Noble at Boston University on March 27, 2007.
