Seniors Share Their Hopes and Dreams
In the days leading up to Commencement, Class of 2023 graduates gathered with friends and classmates [...]to pose for photos and toasts on the BU seal (legend has it that if you step on it prior to Senior Week, you won’t graduate).
Seniors shared their emotions in the lead-up to their big day and spoke about their hopes and aspirations for what comes next. Take a look.
One trivia fact worth noting: the official-looking thing we call “the seal” isn’t really the University’s seal—it’s the University’s crest or coat of arms. The real seal—designed by BU’s first president, William Fairfield Warren, shortly after the University was chartered in 1869—can be found on the cornerstone of many University buildings, including the College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Theology, the College of Fine Arts, the School of Law, and Marsh Chapel.
