Moving Public Health Agendas to Action: Pitfalls, Challenges and Opportunities

Join us to hear Dr. Patience White, the Arthritis Foundation Vice President for Public Health, share her perspectives on moving the national Osteoarthritis (OA) Public Health Agenda to action. As the greatest contributor to physical limitation and work disability, arthritis impacts common public health epidemics such as obesity and diabetes. Dr. White will discuss development and implementation of four major interdisciplinary recent initiatives aimed to move the national OA Public Health Agenda to action: i) the OA Action Alliance, ii) the Ad Council Campaign, iii) the Environmental and Policy Strategies to Increase Physical Activity among Adults with Arthritis report, and iv) the Institute of Medicine Living Well with Chronic Disease. This webcast will be of interest to public health professionals and medical and rehabilitation practitioners.
