<description><![CDATA[What are lung organoids anyways? Researchers from Boston University's Center for Regenerative Medicine (CReM) have grown collections of living cells with similarities to complex organs in their lab in order to study various lung diseases. Now, the lung organoids are being used to better understand COVID-19's effects on human lungs. In time, the researchers hope to also use this data to develop live-saving treatments.
