Lucas Watson

Lucas Watson is a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering and Physics. Lucas is a learning assistant in the Physics department, and has previously been a mentor to high school students through the Technology Innovation Scholars Program, where he was also a FIRST robotics mentor. Additionally, he is the director for BostonHacks, is a cofounder of The Common Thread Podcast from the Howard Thurman Center, and is a member of OpenWeb and MakeBU. Outside of BU, he is currently an intern at Piaggio Fast Forward, where he works on the drive algorithm for Gita, a semi-autonomous robot. Last year, he received Best in Class awards for Engineering’s Portfolio Competition and Imagineering Project Competition, and he can now add 2017 Provost’s Scholar to his long list of accolades.
