For Volunteers

As a student-run conference, BUCLD relies on the support of student volunteers to make everything come together. This year we need volunteers to act as moderators for the question and answer periods of each presentation session. Unlike previous years, the conference is free to all students regardless of whether they volunteer. However, there are still some added benefits to volunteering, such as adding a line to your CV, getting some visibility as an emerging scholar, and potentially making  connections with some of the biggest names in language development. Additionally, volunteering with BUCLD can count towards volunteer hours requirements.

Volunteers will be responsible for attending a brief 30 minute virtual training the week before the conference and 2.5-3 hours of time over 1-2 shifts during the conference. Excitingly, since the conference is entirely virtual this year, you do not need to be local to volunteer!

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form linked below and we’ll add you to our roster of volunteers and be in touch to confirm your shift assignment as we get closer to the conference. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Thank you for your time and we look forward to working with you!

The sign up form is closed now. If you still want to help, please email the Volunteer Chair at the email address above.
