Student Travel Fellowship

Please note: The Student Travel Fellowship is a replacement for the Diversity Travel Fellowship. The Diversity Travel Fellowship was funded for the past 8 years by a grant from the National Institutes of Health for the purpose of promoting diversity in science. That grant was terminated in March 2025. We are actively seeking sources to fund the new Student Travel Fellowship; our ability to host this award is contingent on identifying funding. We encourage interested students to apply for the award so that if funding becomes available, we can consider applications.

The Student Travel Fellowship is meant to assist students who are interested in attending BUCLD by subsidizing their expenses for attending (travel, lodging, registration). Applicants are encouraged to list all costs associated with attending BUCLD.

Students need not be authors on abstracts to apply. Preference is given to applicants with the greatest need, those who have not previously received a travel award, and individuals who have experienced barriers to achievement due to the historical circumstances of their community.

Submissions for the Student Travel Fellowship are now closed. The deadline for submissions was July 15, 2025.
