Fighting within the system: swollen glands and the body

I have swollen glands in my neck, but otherwise I feel fine. Should I see my doctor?

What you take for a gland is probably a lymph node, part of your immune system. In most situations, a healthy person who has one or two swollen lymph nodes doesn't need to see a doctor. However, it is essential to monitor the swelling. If the swelling is sore, or if the node doesn't shrink within a month, see your doctor.
