As kids in Philadelphia, BU seniors Dom Morris and Travis Robinson grew up loving basketball. The two first met at age 11, playing in a local youth league. As students and teammates at Friends Central High School, they helped their team win back-to-back state titles. During those years, when they played for an Amateur Athletic Union team, they became friends with D. J. Irving, a basketball star from nearby Chester, Pa.

As luck, talent, and thousands of hours of practice would have it, all three were recruited to play basketball at BU. Friends both on and off the court, they have been indispensable to the Terriers’ success over the past four seasons. As freshmen, they helped the team capture the America East Championship. Irving (MET’14), a point guard, Robinson (SMG’14), a shooting guard, and Morris (MET’14), a power forward, were named tricaptains of the team this season. And now, as they prepare to close out their BU athletic careers, the three friends have one final goal: to win the Patriot League Championship.

“I’m not leaving BU without another championship ring,” says Irving.
