Here are some resources to help you when considering an internship:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/careers\/\">The Center for Career Development<\/a> \u2013 The CCD has resources of all kinds related to careers, and can help you find and prepare for internships and jobs. They also hold many events throughout the year focusing on career preparation and skills.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bu.joinhandshake.com\/login\">Handshake<\/a> \u2013 Handshake is the CCD\u2019s recommended platform for students, employers, and career centers. Students can use it to search for internships, jobs, and events.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/careers\/internships-and-jobs\/bu-internship-programs\/yawkey\/\">Yawkey Paid Internship Program<\/a> \u2013 This program provides stipends for sophomores and juniors participating in unpaid internships for nonprofit organizations.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cas\/current-students\/undergraduate\/special-opportunities\/internships\/\">CAS On-Campus Internship Program<\/a> \u2013 This program allows students to apply for approved internship opportunities at Boston University. Accepted students are enrolled in CAS IN 250, a 1-credit course, and participate in professional development seminars throughout the semester.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/summer\/summer-study-internship\/\">Summer Study Internship<\/a> \u2013 This summer program allows students to take 2 courses at BU during their first 6 weeks of the program, then students transition into their internship for the next 6 weeks. Students also participate in an internship course and program workshops.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/alumni\/careers\/career-development-resources\/career-advisory-network\/\">The Career Advisory Network<\/a> \u2013 BU\u2019s online directory of nearly 8,000 alumni volunteers who share their career advice and networking connections with current students and fellow alumni. You can also contact <a href=\"mailto:erinem@bu.edu\">Erin Mullins<\/a> in the Biology Department for help finding BMB alumni.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/caspreprofessional\/\">The Pre-Professional Advising Office<\/a> \u2013 The Pre-Professional Advising Office offers advising for both pre-health and pre-law students.
