Current Research:
Maria investigates the molecular stress response of coral and anemones with particular interest in immunity and metabolism. Her work extends from single cell RNAseq in temperate coral to the physiological response of anemones to starvation. She is also a trainee with BU URBAN and interested in science education, outreach, and communication.
