Barney Schlinger Named 2026 Daniel S. Lehrman Lifetime Achievement Award Winner

The Society for Behavioral Neuroendocrinology (SBN) awarded BU alum Barney Schlinger with the 2026 Daniel S. Lehrman Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes the career achievements of investigators in the field of behavioral endocrinology, and serves the purpose of educating junior professionals about the work of SBN members not only in research, but also in service and leadership.

Schlinger received his master’s and PhD in Biology at Boston University, working with Dr. Fred Wasserman and Dr. Gloria Callard.
