Students may enroll in the MS Program as full- or part-time, and the degree requires a total of 32 credits. In order to receive a master&#8217;s degree, students must demonstrate mastery of the core subject matter. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/bioinformatics\/admissions\/programs\/masters\/\">Requirements<\/a> include the satisfactory completion of the core coursework with no lower than a &#8220;B&#8221; in each course and an internship where students demonstrate a working knowledge of computational methods available to the modern bioinformatician. Upon completion of the internship, each student is required to submit a written and oral report on the internship experience.<\/p>\n<h1>PhD<\/h1>\n<p>Prospective students who have completed a bachelor\u2019s degree may apply for direct admission to the PhD program. The PhD is a full-time program and requires a total of 64 credits, consisting of lecture\/laboratory courses, seminar courses, and research credits.
