Prospective students who have completed a bachelor\u2019s degree may apply for direct admission to the Master of Science (MS) program<\/a>. Students may enroll in the MS Program as full- or part-time, and the degree requires a total of 32 credits. In order to receive a master’s degree, students must demonstrate mastery of the core subject matter. Requirements<\/a> include the satisfactory completion of the core coursework with no lower than a “B” in each course and an internship where students demonstrate a working knowledge of computational methods available to the modern bioinformatician. Upon completion of the internship, each student is required to submit a written and oral report on the internship experience.<\/p>\n Prospective students who have completed a bachelor\u2019s degree may apply for direct admission to the PhD program. The PhD is a full-time program and requires a total of 64 credits, consisting of lecture\/laboratory courses, seminar courses, and research credits.
