November 12-14 | Boston Industry Trek

BU is teaming up with its BEST sibling, the University of Chicago, to take a trek around Boston and visit 8 local pharma/biotech companies.  The trek will start with an evening social activity to get to know our colleagues from UChicago, then over the next three days we will visit 7 companies and hear from Heads of Reseach, CEOs, Presidents, etc.  We will be compiling a leave behind book of trainee bios and resumes for the companies.  Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute their materials to this book.   In order to apply, you must be able to attend all sessions.  Six trainees will be selected based on their application materials.  Please send application materials to BU’s BEST at bubest@bu.edu by 11:59pm October 26, 2017.

Application material should include:
1)  A current high-quality resume (not a CV),
2) A cover letter for a currently open position at one of the following companies (Pfizer, Alnylam Pharmaceutical, Bluebird Bio, Editas Medicine, Leerink Capital Partners, Synlogic, Takeda).  This cover letter will not be submitted to the company and will be used for the sole purpose of the Trek application.
3) A personal statement that addresses: Your career goals related to industry research. How the trek will further your career goals.  Any industry research experience or collaborations.
