I just switched into Astronomy; how do I get an Astronomy advisor?
Our Director of Undergraduate Studies, Prof. Hughes (hughes at bu.edu), coordinates departmental faculty advising. Please email him with the update that you have recently changed your major, and he will assign you an Astronomy faculty advisor.

All changes in major are managed by the CAS Academic Advising Office. Please go to http://www.bu.edu/casadvising/ and click on “Forms” at the top of the screen. Select Major/Minor Declaration to add, change, or update your major.

To whom do I submit transfer forms?
Transfer credit approval for any corresponding BU Astronomy course is overseen by our Director of Undergraduate Studies. Forms may be dropped off in person to CAS Room 514 or sent electronically to the Director of Undergraduate Studies. (Professor Hughes, hughes at bu.edu)

When is the Astronomy Library open?
The Astronomy Library is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Access after 5:00pm or on weekends is restricted to the BU community. For more information, go to: http://www.bu.edu/library/astronomy/.
