Data Governance Working Group
The Data Governance Working Group implements the plans and priorities of the Strategic Information Group (SIG). The Data Governance Working Group will make recommendations to the SIG and communicate with stakeholders and data users within the university based on the executive guidance of the Strategic Information Group. The activities of the Data Governance Working Group and its members will include:
- Review business process documentation
- Develop and approve data definitions and other metadata
- Review and implement new cross-functional data systems and reports
- Support and facilitate data steward and analyst outreach, training and communication.
Members of the Data Governance Working Group are drawn from a broad range of roles and responsibilities in the creation and use of data, and represent the full scope of university data interests. Members of this large group can participate or abstain from the work of the group as appropriate to the task at hand; participation will be recorded.
