The music \u2013 Early and contemporary, classical, folk, popular, and fusion \u2013 will be as varied as the individual personalities and home countries of its creators<!--more-->, which include Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Mexico. All of the music was composed or arranged for the Early and folk instruments that make up this unique ensemble, including viola da gamba, violin, Early and Venezuelan guitars, percussion, bass, and voices. All of it shares the passionate expressiveness and tremendous rhythmic vitality that have drawn audiences throughout the ages to music of Spain and Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets $35, $25, $15 seniors. Students and low income $5<\/p>\n<p>All proceedings for this concert will be donated to Ni\u00f1o Jes\u00fas Daycare in Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The composers<\/strong><br \/>\nComposers and arrangers featured in this program include Teodora Gin\u00e9s, Modesta Bor, Diana S\u00e1ez, Esther Rojas, and Consuelo Velazquez, whose \u201cB\u00e9same Mucho\u201d will be the most familiar piece in this eclectic, electric concert. Teodora Gin\u00e9s\u2019s music and Sor Juana In\u00e9s de la Cruz\u2019s text are from the Early Baroque period and are featured in a motet and several villancicos. Modesta Bor (1926\u20131998) will be represented by Rumbarroco\u2019s arrangements of her Venezuelan folkloric vocal music.
