BosTix discount tickets are sold online at www.bostix.org and in person at the ArtsBoston booths at Faneuil Hall and Copley Square. <!--more-->BosTix Associates contribute to the daily operations of the ArtsBoston BosTix Booths at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Copley Square, providing the highest level of customer service to our customers, and ensuring Boston residents and visitors receive a positive and welcoming invitation to experience Boston\u2019s arts and culture.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>BOOTH RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Serve as a representative of ArtsBoston at Booth windows including selling tickets, sharing information with visitors about upcoming events and what\u2019s on sale, making recommendations, and assisting wayfinding around the City of Boston.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist BosTix Supervisor with daily operations and business\/ticketing systems at the ArtsBoston Booths in Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Copley Square.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist BosTix Supervisors with opening and closing the ArtsBoston Booth.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist in daily maintenance of the ArtsBoston Booths, as directed by the BosTix Supervisors.<br \/>\n\u2022 Participate in periodic events and activations at the booths in conjunction with BosTix Manager, Supervisors, and ArtsBoston Deputy and Executive Directors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Provide BosTix customer service at the BosTix Booths and regularly participate in on-going training with BosTix Manager and Supervisors.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist in checking Customer Service email and voicemail to provide timely responses.<br \/>\n\u2022 Resolve customer concerns and questions and elevate issues to Supervisors as needed. Record interactions and take note of frequently asked questions, concerns, or comments in daily reports.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist customers with accessibility needs and requests and maintain open communication with member organizations in relation to accessibility offerings.<br \/>\n\u2022 Stay informed about arts and culture events in the Greater Boston area.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>KNOWLEDGE &amp; EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 Knowledge of box office operations and\/or ticketing systems<br \/>\n\u2022 A collaborative mindset and a commitment to supporting team needs<br \/>\n\u2022 A self-described people-person:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">o Courteous and patient: remains calm, respectful, and solution-focused in a variety of customer interactions<br \/>\no Friendly: genuinely enjoys engaging with the public and creates positive, uplifting experiences<br \/>\no Creative: approaches challenges with fresh thinking and practical, solution-focused ideas<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Knowledge of and passion for Greater Boston\u2019s performing and visual arts communities<br \/>\n\u2022 Good judgment with the ability to effectively manage the expectations of others, make sound decisions within the scope of the job, and elevate issues as needed<\/p>\n<h4><strong>TECHNICAL SKILLS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 Experience with Etix or other ticketing system a plus<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience providing customer service in-person, over the phone, and via email<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite<\/p>\n<h4><strong>REPORTS TO<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>BosTix Manager and Supervisors<\/p>\n<h4><strong>HOURS &amp; LOCATION<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Part-time, 20 &#8211; 30 hours\/3 &#8211; 5 days per week<\/p>\n<p>Part-time Associates are expected to work at least 20 hours per week. More hours are available based on availability and the needs of Bos Tix.<\/p>\n<p>Weekend availability required<\/p>\n<p>The BosTix Associates will be expected to work at both ArtsBoston Booths at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Copley Square and may occasionally be asked to attend in-person staff meetings off-site.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>SALARY &amp; BENEFITS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>$20 per hour<\/p>\n<p>ArtsBoston offers part-time staff frequent opportunities to attend arts performances and events.
