ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arts Letters & Numbers is a non-profit arts, education, and publishing organization dedicated to promoting creative exchanges across a wide range of disciplines including Architecture, Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, Film, Music, Humanities, Sciences, and Social Sciences. Arts Letters & Numbers conducts workshops in educational and cultural institutions worldwide in collaboration with theatre companies, artists, writers, actors, musicians and filmmakers. It operates an ongoing series of educational workshops, performances and film productions at their Averill Park Campus in Upstate, NY.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABOUT THE POSITION<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Residency Program Coordinator<\/strong> will be an essential team member in the management and coordination of Arts Letters & Numbers’ Artist Residency Program. This role requires a highly organized, motivated individual with a passion for the arts, who will ensure smooth day-to-day operations and provide an inspiring and supportive environment for our resident artists. The Coordinator will work closely with our staff and residents to maintain program quality and expand our reach in the arts community. Estimated 16 hours per week required. This position is available from December 15 to March 15, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

RESPONSIBLITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • \n

    Program Coordination:<\/strong> Oversee the planning, scheduling, and logistical support for all residency programming, including workshops, events, and residency-related exhibitions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Resident Support:<\/strong> Serve as the primary point of contact for resident artists, providing guidance, orientation, and assistance throughout their stay.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Community Engagement:<\/strong> Foster a welcoming and inclusive community, facilitating connections among residents, alumni, and the local arts community.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Administrative Duties:<\/strong> Manage residency experience, coordinate resident arrival\/departure logistics, and maintain records, reports, and program budgets.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Event Planning:<\/strong> Organize public events such as open studios, artist talks, and community workshops that promote resident artists and engage the public.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Communications:<\/strong> Collaborate with the communications team to promote residency activities and highlight resident artists through newsletters, social media, and the website.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Experience in arts programming, community organizing, or project management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Passionate about fostering a creative and collaborative environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Open to living on-site with other resident artists<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Adaptable, and able to pivot around changes or challenges<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      PREFERRED SKILLS<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • \n

        Knowledge of contemporary art practices and the needs of artists in a residency setting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Experience with social media management and digital communications.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Familiarity with budgeting and project planning.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
