Widely regarded as the finest ensemble of its type in North America, Blue Heron presents a subscription series in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a catalog of exceptional recordings is available on the Blue Heron label. The ensemble\u2019s accolades include the 2018 Gramophone Classical Music Award for Early Music, making Blue Heron the first group from outside Europe to receive the award; the Noah Greenberg Award from the American Musicological Society; and the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik. Touring engagements have taken the group across the United States, Canada, England, and Europe.<\/div>\n<p><strong>GENERAL DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help shape targeted sales and fundraising strategies for the ensemble\u2019s varied and dynamic programming by researching and brainstorming new and different ways to reach potential donors and audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Learn the fundamentals of building earned and contributed revenue campaigns, special event management and project budgeting.<\/li>\n<li>Create materials and guides that will lend themselves to future positions anywhere in the arts, or anywhere else creativity and organization are appreciated.<\/li>\n<li>Help run front-of-house services including Blue Heron\u2019s box office and will call.<\/li>\n<li>Successful candidates for this internship will take direction well, prioritize tasks effectively and work well independently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>LOCATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a flexible hybrid position including both in-office hours and remote work hours totaling 10-15 hours per week.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates will be able to get to our offices in West Newton for in-office work at mutually agreeable times at least one day a week. (Free off-street parking is available; the office is a 0.3-mi walk from the West Newton Commuter Rail stop.) Candidates must also be available on occasional evenings and weekends for Blue Heron concert days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACADEMIC CREDITS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an unpaid internship. Terms and reporting flexibility is available to candidates seeking academic credit\u2014send your program requirements along with your materials for consideration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recent graduates or students currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees are welcome to apply, however, we are extremely flexible, especially for the right candidate.
