The Diana Stelin Gallery and Art School is seeking a Gallery Manager. This position will begin with a trial period of 3 months. The studio needs someone to take over their busiest days: Fridays through Sundays, and offers a wonderful base and commission package.<\/p>\n
About the Position:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Gallery Manager is responsible for artist onboarding and communication, show curation, marketing and client\/press interaction.\u00a0<\/span>This is a brand new venue where you will feel all the wonderful aspects of a start up art business: how to manage and dress up a storefront, how to effectively build collector relationships, how to put systems in place for smooth operations, how to grow through event planning and community exposure.<\/p>\n Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n 2-3 years experience in retail is preferred. Excellent communications, writing capabilities and social media knowledge is key.<\/p>\n About the Space:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Diana Stelin Gallery\u00a0and Art School<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is located in Coolidge Corner, a high-foot-traffic spot in the emerging cultural borough of Brookline in Boston, MA. The gallery will host frequently-rotating exhibits featuring local and non-local artists who work across a range of media, including fashion design. The back of the space operates as an art school for all ages, offering a range of classes for students serious about art.<\/p>\n The namesake founder, Diana Stelin, has pursued every avenue of the art world throughout her 25 years in the field and, for this new venture, she aims to bring them all together. This will also mean a schedule of corpora<\/span>te panels and artist-led workshops parallel to the rotating exhibition schedule and regular classes.
