{"id":9287,"date":"2017-11-16T11:14:15","date_gmt":"2017-11-16T16:14:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/artsadmin\/?page_id=9287"},"modified":"2019-04-18T16:22:42","modified_gmt":"2019-04-18T20:22:42","slug":"marie-alix-thomas","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/artsadmin\/alumni\/alumni-profiles\/marie-alix-thomas\/","title":{"rendered":"Marie-Alix Thomas (&#8217;18)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/mariealixthomas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Linkedin<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>Marie-Alix Thomas is a french student who graduated from Boston University&#8217;s\u00a0Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration. <\/span><span>She\u00a0holds both a Master&#8217;s degree in Management in Cultural Institutions from\u00a0Audencia Business School, Nantes (FR) and a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Art History from Nantes University. <\/span><span>Cultivating her interest in\u00a0art and collections, Marie-Alix has\u00a0volunteered and interned at Ader Nordmann and Christie&#8217;s auction houses in Paris, Artistic Student Association in Nantes, TEFAF Art Fair in\u00a0Maastricht, the Hermitage State Museum in\u00a0Saint-Petersburg, and La Patinoire Royale (gallery) in Brussels. <\/span><span>Fascinated by the role\u00a0of an art collector, Marie-Alix hopes to take part in the\u00a0art market and someday\u00a0be found in the Young Collectors Club spreading worldwide.\u00a0<\/span><span>Through the Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration, Marie-Alix looks forward to expanding her expertise of the art world and fine arts market.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span>On my\u00a0very first class in the Arts Administration Program, <em>Political and Public Advocacy<\/em>, our professor stated, &#8220;you are all artists.&#8221;\u00a0It was this\u00a0little affirmation that highlighted my\u00a0reason for pursuing the Arts Administration Graduate Certificate here at Boston University.
