Joining BU in 1992, he served as the Arts Administration program director for 23 years\u2014teaching Art World, Arts in Barcelona, and Arts in Cuba\u2014and initiated the degree program\u2019s international travel courses.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Ranalli has dedicated 50 years to his studio art practice, as a visual artist. His work can be found in the permanent collections of more than 30 museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Boston\u2019s Museum of Fine Arts, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Nelson-Atkins Museum, and the Smithsonian National Gallery of American Art. He has had over 150 individual and group shows in the United States and abroad, and has been awarded multiple artists\u2019 fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel is also a freelance arts writer, critic, and independent curator.
