Offered both on campus and online, the certificate program is also appropriate for professionals considering a career change, as well as professionals in the arts, health care, education, and human services fields. The convenient online and evening course formats allow students to earn this valuable credential while continuing to work full-time.<\/p>\n<p>The Graduate Certificate in Fundraising Management is a CFRE Approved Provider for Continuing Education. Full participation in the Graduate Certificate in Fundraising Management is applicable for 80 points in Category 1.B \u2013 Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and\/or re-certification.<\/p>\n<p>Students who wish to apply for continuing education points on their CFRE application for initial certification and\/or recertification can download the <a href=\"\/artsadmin\/files\/2025\/11\/2026-cfre-tracker.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2026 CFRE Tracker Form<\/a> to submit their continuing education points.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfre.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"border-bottom: none;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/artsadmin\/files\/2025\/11\/CFRE-ConEdLogo-2026.png\" alt=\"CFRE - Certified Fund Raising Executive - Approved Provider for Continuing Education - 2026\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15219\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Certificate students take classes with students who are in the <a title=\"Arts Administration Graduate Degree\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/artsadmin\/academic-programs\/arts-administration-degree\/\">Master of Science in Arts Administration program<\/a>. Students have access to all the resources of the department and the University, including the extensive network of visual and performing arts organizations that has employed Boston University graduates, and internship and job placement services.<\/p>\n<p>The certificate is open to qualified applicants who have earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from a fully accredited college or university in the United States or abroad. All candidates for admission are selected on the basis of undergraduate transcripts, academic and personal references, and related work experience. A student may take up to two courses before admission to the Fundraising Certificate, but must apply and be accepted to the program prior to the completion of the second course.<\/p>\n<p>Courses are also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/online\/programs\/certificate-programs\/online-fundraising-management-graduate-certificate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">available online<\/a>. Online courses operate on a seven-week schedule, with start dates in September (MET AR 750 Financial Management for Nonprofit Organizations), November (MET AR 550 Raising Funds and Grant Writing for Nonprofit Organizations), January (MET AR 723 Individual Fundraising), and March (MET AR 711 Capital Campaigns).<\/p>\n<p>More information can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/online\/programs\/certificate-programs\/online-fundraising-management-graduate-certificate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>. These courses complete the certificate, and would count towards the ten total courses required for the master\u2019s degree should you choose to earn both the master\u2019s and Fundraising Management Certificate.
