Her work aims to bring the scale and gravitas of opera to theatre, and the intimacy and moment-to-moment truth of theatre to opera, rendering both forms awe-inspiring, relevant, and accessible.<\/p>\n<p>As the former Artistic Director of the NEMPAC Opera Project, Rebecca produced fully-staged opera accompanied by chamber orchestra in historic Faneuil Hall&#8217;s Great Hall. With the NEMPAC Opera Project,\u00a0Rebecca produced and stage directed <em>Mozart&#8217;s<\/em> <em>Don Giovanni<\/em> (June 2018),\u00a0\u00a0<em>Beethoven&#8217;s only opera, Fidelio<\/em>(June 2017) and <em>La Cenerentola <\/em>(June 2016), as well as assistant stage directed and fight choreographed <em>La Boh\u00e8me <\/em>(June 2015), and served as the program and stage director for NEMPAC\u2019s Summer Children\u2019s Musical Theater during summer 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Other directing credits include the East Coast premiere of Matthew Aucion&#8217;s <em>Second Nature<\/em> (Opera<br \/>\ndel West),\u00a0\u00a0Sarah Ruhl&#8217;s <em>In the Next Room, or the vibrator play<\/em> (The Footlight Club),\u00a0Handel&#8217;s <em>Alcina<\/em> (Opera del West), a staged reading of Sean Crawford\u2019s <em>Blue Moon <\/em>(Hub Theatre Co.), three short plays for The Boston Theater Marathon, Open Theatre Project\u2019s SLAMBoston, and Trinity Repertory Company&#8217;s <em>Write Here, Write Now! <\/em>Festival, and <em>Speech &amp; Debate<\/em>, and <em>Children of Eden<\/em>\u00a0(Brandeis University).<\/p>\n<p>Associate directing credits include the developmental stages of OperaHub&#8217;s <em>DIVAS <\/em>(formerly<em> Trunk Show<\/em>). Assistant directing credits include <em>Dog Paddle <\/em>(Bridge Rep of Boston, dir. Guy Ben-Aharon), <em>Mud Blue Sky<\/em> (Bridge Rep of Boston, dir. Bridget Kathleen O&#8217;Leary), <em>The Love of the Nightingale<\/em> (Hub Theatre Co.), and <em>Oliver! <\/em>(Trinity Rep, dir. Richard and Sharon Jenkins). She also fight choreographed <em>Coyote on a Fence,\u00a0<\/em>&#8220;<em>ART&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0 and <em>The Love of the Nightingale<\/em> with Hub Theatre Co. of Boston, and curated and moderated talkback series for Bridge Rep\u2019s productions of <em>The Forgetting Curve<\/em>, <em>Julius Caesar<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Salom\u00e9, <\/em>and<em> Mrs. Packard<\/em>, which she also dramaturged.<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca has worked at a variety of theatre companies and arts organizations, including the Isabella Stewart Garnder Museum, where she spent two and a half years in the Development Department planning and executing special events, SpeakEasy Stage Company, Trinity Repertory Company, The North End Music &amp; Performing Arts Center, The Katz Company, The Broadway League, and The Actors Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca received her BA in Theater Arts from Brandeis University and has a Certificate in Arts Administration from Boston University.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c The arts administration program at Boston University provided me with valuable and tangible skills that I carry with me as an artist and administrator.
