Jean Appolon Expressions (JAE) is a nonprofit, contemporary dance company, with a vision to teach and share the liberating power of Haitian-folkloric dance to cultivate hope and healing towards a more expressive and socially just world – a world where everyone, across all identities, can thrive. Class is accompanied by live drummers and will begin with a cardio warm-up, then go through movements in several different rhythms from Haitian Folklore. The class welcomes individuals with any level of dance experience. The class will be a fulfilling, fun workout. The class is available to anyone with access to FitRec. Dancers may bring socks or dance barefoot. Athletic wear is advised.
