Join sustainability@BU online in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. We will feature conversations about our progress as an institution, how climate change relates to coronavirus, as well as inspiring content focused on well-being and our environment. Link to join the event will be available the day before the event.
Agenda
4:00 – 5:30 pm: Learning from COVID-19: What does it mean for Sustainability, Climate Change, and Resilience?
Join us for an online panel discussion on the short-term and long-term effects of COVID-19 on climate and the environment, with Dr. Sucharita Gopal from the Boston University College of Arts & Sciences, Dr. Jonathan I. Levy from the Boston University School of Public Health, and BU Sustainability’s Dennis Carlberg. We will start with an overview of Boston University’s progress toward its sustainability goals, then dive into a moderated discussion about what the “new normal” means for our climate and sustainability work — both at BU and broadly as a society.
Hosted by: BU Sustainability
5:40 – 6:30 pm: Caring for Yourself, Others, and Our Planet: A Student Panel for Earth Day’s 50th
This Earth Day, join us for an online panel where BU students will share stories about their relationship to nature, their communities, and our environment, and how this interacts with their personal wellbeing. Following these stories, we will have a conversation about the connections between wellbeing and the environment.
Hosted by: BU Sustainability and The Wellbeing Project at Boston University.
