Gallery Reception: Camilla Satte (CAS '20) "Trompe-l’œil is a quite popular art technique that most artists use to create optical illusions of two-dimensional object appear as three-dimensional but my artworks work in a reverse direction. The aim of my works is to collapse the depth and make three-dimensional objects, humans and their surroundings, into flat two-dimensional paintings. The photographs are depicting the real life people to appear as painted portraits on canvas."
