Priscilla Meléndez teaches at Trinity College, CT. Her research centers primarily on works of Spanish American theater, in particular, from Mexico, Argentina, and the Caribbean. She has written on playwrights such as the Argentinians Osvaldo Dragún, Diana Raznovich and the theatre movement TEATRO X LA IDENTIDAD, and theatre groups such as Malayerba in Ecuador and …Y no había luz in Puerto Rico She is the author of La dramaturgia hispanoamericana contemporánea: teatralidad y autoconciencia, and The Politics of Farce in Contemporary Spanish American Theater, and has recently finished a new book, Asaltos al escenario: Humor, género e historia en el teatro de Sabina Berman.
