Global House will host a screening of the film Hors-la-loi. This film is in French and Arabic and will be shown with English Subtitles. There will be a post-screening discussion in English about the themes of the film and the Algerian War of Independence. This film screening is open to all BU Students in French and Arabic Classes. On Wednesday, Nov. 14th, there will be an additional group discussion of the Algerian War and its modern-day consequences in France. This discussion will be in French and is open to all BU Students – a poster for this event is forthcoming.
