The Friends of the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University will host noted political satirist and author Christopher Buckley for a talk about his life and career.
Mr. Buckley has lectured in over 70 cities around the world. He was awarded the Thurber Prize for American Humor and the Washington Irving Medal for Literary Excellence. Published in 1993, his best-known novel is Thank You For Smoking, which was adapted for the screen and directed by Academy Award-nominated director Jason Reitman and starring Aaron Eckhart, Maria Bello and Rob Lowe. Other satirical novels by Buckley include Little Green Men, Florence of Arabia, Boomsday, and Supreme Courtship.
