GMS doctoral students and fellows are invited to participate in a workshop sponsored by Foundations in Biomedical Sciences that will focus on the impact of temperament and personality on graduate education and career goals. Dr. Stephen Brady has led this workshop for the past several years for emerging leaders of the medical school faculty, and we are now offering it through GMS. In order to participate in the workshop, you must first complete a brief (less than one hour) Personal Qualities Test (the 16 PF) online the week prior to the workshop. The results of the test are then confidentially sent to you, and you will have the opportunity to discuss your personal results in the workshop if you so choose. Dr. Brady’s workshop will have a special emphasis for doctoral students and fellows, review case examples of how personality type impacts career (e.g. choices between academia and industry), identify factors of emotional intelligence that promote leadership, and help you develop a career plan. This workshop can accommodate 25 students only, so hurry and reserve your seat now!
