Alene Bouranova is a Pacific Northwest native and a BU alum (COM’16). After earning a BS in journalism, she spent four years at Boston magazine writing, copyediting, and managing production for all publications. These days, she covers campus happenings, current events, and more for BU Today. Fun fact: she’s still using her Terrier card from 2013. When she’s not writing about campus, she’s trying to lose her Terrier card so BU will give her a new one. She lives in Cambridge with her plants. Profile

There are 5 comments on Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav Tells BU Graduates to Pursue Their Passion, amidst Protests over Hollywood Writers Strike

  1. This industry is just run by good old boys. If the industry had rules of hiring 50% minorities and half in management, they wouldn’t be worried about companies like Netflix and Amazon. Diversity is a huge reason why for their struggles.

  2. Well written. Sublimely objective. Davide Zaslav said what he wanted to say and the protesting students did the same. Was the noise intrusive?Yes. Was enduring psychic damage inflicted on anyone? No.
We live in a great country. Go Terriers.

  3. Am I the only one embarrassed by the attempts to drown out the speaker with catcalls and heckling? What happened to *listening* politely, even to those with whom you disagree? What have these people learned in four years at BU?
