  1. This was, indeed, a great day in U.S. history.

    The sad fact that 47 Republican senators saw fit to vote against her shows us how much still needs to be done to solve this country’s profound problems regarding race. Kudos to the three senators who had the courage to break with their colleagues who belong to what once was called “the party of Lincoln”…

    1. I’m confident that those 47 (R) senators wouldn’t have voted to confirm any otherwise-identical (D) Biden-nominated justice of any shade. That’s a problem, but at least it isn’t a racist one. Remember, Clarence Thomas is very well-regarded among conservatives. Far more Democratic senators voted against Thurgood Marshall’s confirmation than Republicans.

      The social rewards that have predictably incentivized you to see every human interaction through the lens of race, in the name of Progress, have also just lead you to earnestly and publicly promote Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney as somehow enlightened.
